What the HELL is an EMMATHEO?
I’m Emma Theodore, but everyone calls me EMMATHEO. Raised in East Dallas, my passion for design emerged early on, expressed through color, drawing, fashion, and social media. Family vacations became opportunities to explore nature, architecture, art, graffiti, antique shops, and global cultural styles. The photos and crafts from these experiences reflected my unique perspective on objects, self, and the world. As I matured, design evolved into a coping mechanism for stress, allowing me to doodle my thoughts and find solace in creativity. My architect father broadened my understanding of design's significance, from urban landscapes to interiors, painting, sculpture, branding, and marketing. Recognizing the impact of design on others, I discovered its potential to enhance environments or market products. Although I cherished the messages conveyed through design, I had yet to comprehend the underlying reasons, rhythms, balance, symbolism, proportions, scale, unity, or variety guiding the design process. While I knew what I liked, the reasons eluded me. Join me on my portfolio journey as I navigate the fascination and chaos within my mind! Enjoy the exploration.
